How to schedule a virtual urgent care visit

What can be treated during an online urgent care visit?

You can receive care for many conditions through virtual urgent care, including:

  • Allergies
  • Eye, ear and mouth pain
  • Head lice and tick bites
  • Lower back pain
  • Minor headache
  • Respiratory infections, such as colds, COVID-19 and the flu
  • Skin and nail concerns
  • Sprains and strains
  • Stomach concerns
  • Common adult female problems, including urinary tract infections, yeast infections and mastitis

Please keep in mind that some conditions, such as headaches, lower back pain, and sprains and strains, cannot be treated during an eVisit and may require a video visit or in-person care .

Getting ready for your online urgent care appointment is as easy as 1-2-3

Here are some tips to ensure a successful video visit:

  • Make sure your device is plugged in or fully charged before your visit.
  • Use the MyBSWHealth app or Google Chrome on your computer or tablet for the best experience.
  • Make sure you have a reliable Wi-Fi connection.
  • Have headphones available if you need privacy or audio assistance.
  • Choose a private, well-lit space where you’re less likely to be interrupted.
  • Be in a stationary location rather than walking around or driving in a car.
  • If prompted, allow your camera and microphone to access the app.
  • If the appointment is for a minor, parental or guardian presence is required for the visit.

Need a primary care provider?

While virtual care is convenient, it doesn’t replace the valuable relationship you develop over time with a primary care provider.
